Manipur Government has decided to extend the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act 1958 for another year from June 1 in view of the deteriorating law-and-order situation, official sources said today, reports PTI. 10 Assam Rifles jawans killed in Manipur

IMPHAL, May 27 ? At least 10 Assam Rifles jawans were killed and five others seriously injured in an ambush by suspected Manipur insurgents at Gangsad area, about 40 km north-east of here today, official sources said, reports PTI. The armed insurgents attacked the Assam Rifles convoy belonging to 25th battalion while the security personnel were returning to Imphal, the sources said.
