Ibobi is the second CM from Thoubal district

Imphal, March 07: O Ibobi who was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Manipur is the second person from Thoubal district to hold the top post after Md Alimuddin. Born to Okram Angoubi and Lukamani Devi on July 19, 1948 at Thoubal Athokpam ward No 7, Ibobi began his political career as an Independent candidate in Khangabok Assembly constituency in 1984-85. DPP aligns with opposition DPA

Imphal, March 07: The Democratic People's Party, DPP with two representatives in the state Assembly, has joined the Democratic People's Alliance.
