NE militant camps exist in Bangla

DHAKA, April 11 – A senior leader of Bangladesh’s main Opposition Awami League has claimed the existence of Indian insurgents’ camps in his country, reports PTI. Mayor of southeastern port city of Chittagong ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury was quoted by media reports as saying yesterday that the huge cache of arms and ammunition seized on the night of April 1 were “shipped from the USA and Pakistan to arm Indian rebels camped in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT).”

Focus laid on desiltation & weeding in Orang Park

DALGAON, April 11 – Dr Iasa, the Director (Conservation wing) of Wild Life Trust of India, recently visited Orang National Park. The objective of the visit was to look into matter of siltation and weeding which has posed a threat to the National Park. GUWAHATI, April 11 – One woman somewhere in India dies from pregnancy-related complications every five minutes. The current maternal mortality rate in Assam accounts for 401 in every 1,00,000 live births vis-?-vis the pan-Indian figure, which stands at 407 per 1,00,000 live births.
