Khasi 'states' oppose CRC proposal

The Federation of Khasi States, apex body of 25 traditional chiefs in the Khasi Hills has rejected the recommendations of the Constitution Review Commission (CRC) providing for representation for the ?Syiems?, ?Myntris? and other traditional heads in the autonomous district councils (ADCs). Talks with ULFA: Centre should adopt NSCN(IM) line, says CM

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said the Centre should apply the same principles to bring the banned United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) to the negotiating table as it had done in the case of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (I-M) in Nagaland.
