NE States demand 100 pc Central funding

Education ministers of the north-eastern States have urged the Centre to give 100 per cent funding to the States of the region under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Mizoram Education Minister, Dr R Lalthangliana said here Monday, reports PTI. Tripura to export horticultural products

AGARTALA, June 18 ? The Tripura government will export horticultural products to Nepal, informed State Cooperative Minister Niranjan Debbarma. He said the State Apex Cooperative Society will export the products to Nepal. According to the minister, 12 metric tonnes of processed foods mostly pineapple and orange jams and jelly in tinned containers will be despatched to Nepal. Assam Govt announces austerity steps

GUWAHATI, June 18 ? The State Government today announced a series of austerity measures including a ban on purchase of vehicles, air conditioners and other gadgets.
