Imphal, January 30: The Khaplang faction of the NSCN is all set to hold political dialogue with the Government of India by August this year. Well-placed sources close to the NSCN (K) supremo SS Khaplang disclosed to the Network .that if everything goes well, Khaplang and his aides would start political dialogue even before August this year. Neepco warns of power cuts

Guwahati, Jan. 30: The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (Neepco) has once again threatened to regulate power supply to state governments of the region for failing to clear their outstanding dues.

A Neepco communiqu? issued by L.A. Kharmawphlang, assistant manager (public relations), said the situation has come to such a pass that the corporation is finding it difficult to run its power stations and continue uninterrupted supply of power. ?We will be compelled to regulate power supply to the defaulting states,? the corporation said.

Guwahati, Jan. 30: On a cold January morning, some fishermen in Goalpara came up with a catch which they had never seen nor heard of: a deep-sea rayfish from the depths of the Brahmaputra.

NCP shores up support in Tripura

Agartala, Jan. 30: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is all set to play a significant role in the coming Assembly elections in Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland.

East Garo Hills district health and medical officer Prakash Bezbaruah, who was released yesterday at 12.30 pm by militants of the A?chik National Volunteers? Council (ANVC), is in poor health.
