ISI establishing firm roots in Assam

GUWAHATI, April 25 — The Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is slowly, but steadily, establishing firm roots in Assam thanks to the support it is receiving from hardline Islamic fundamentalists and insurgent groups in the State, security sources informed here. Wolfgang's kidnapper among 4 arrested

IMPHAL, April 25 – Four militants of Kuki Liberation Army (KLA), including a person involved in the recent kidnapping of German national Heinrich Wolfgang, have been arrested in Manipur, official sources said on Friday, reports PTI. Acting on a tip-off, police forces conducted search operations at Kamu and Koireng villages in interior Thoubal district and nabbed KLA militant Letkhohao Misao and three others on Thursday.

Wolfgang captor in police net

Imphal, April 24: Manipur police have arrested one of the Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) militants who had abducted German social worker Heinrich Wolfgang on March 23 and senior telecom official J. Lunkim the previous month.

The militant was arrested along with three other members of the same outfit during a special operation last night at Kamu Koireng under Yairipok police station of Thoubal district. The district superintendent of police led the operation.
