No river basin link at State's cost : Bijoya

GUWAHATI, May 17? Union Minister of State for Water Resources Bijoya Chakravarty today asserted that no water from the mighty Brahmaputra would be taken out if it harmed the interests of the State and the people. Hoho sings friendly tune

Jotsoma (Kohima), May 16: In what could come as a surprise to states like Manipur, the Naga Hoho today struck a chord on accommodation and love for neighbours.

Meghalaya police to choke fund sources of ultra outfits

SHILLONG, May 15 ? The Meghalaya Police in its operation against the banned militant organiations has decided to move against those controlling their financial affairs rather than those carrying out the actual operations, reports PTI. ?We have been successful with capturing people from the armed wings of the outfits like Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) earlier and seized huge arms and ammunition.
