Ibobi move to thwart Opps attempt at toppling Govt

IMPHAL, Dec 22?To avoid any toppling game plan hatched by the Opposition Democratic People?s Alliance(DPA), Chief Minister O Ibobi has acted swiftly and literally put ten Ministers, who are suspected to have sent feelers to the Opposition camp, under ?lock? at an undisclosed hotel in Kolkata cutting off all contacts with the outside world. Bill to recognise Bodo language passed

NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Flooded with demands for recognition of languages under the Eight Schedule of the Constitution, the Government of India has decided to bring out a comprehensive list of languages in consultation with linguistic experts, Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani disclosed here today. Myanmar to flush out NE ultras

NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Close on the heels of military action launched by Bhutan, Myanmar today declared that it will flush out Indian insurgent camps, if any, in that country and assured New Delhi that it will not allow militants from Bhutan to enter its soil, reports PTI. ?We will flush out Indian insurgent camps, if any in our country,? NLFT official faction faces pincer attack

Agartala, Dec. 22: In a new twist to the insurgency equations in Tripura, two outfits have taken on the most powerful faction. This is likely to trigger fresh factional clashes in interior areas. The Nayanbasi faction of the National Liberation Front of Tripura and the All Tripura Tiger Force have decided to gang up against the official group of the NLFT led by Biswamohan Debbarma.
