Imphal, June 26: With the exception of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh all the SPF Council of Minister are likely to tender resignation from their respective portfolios on July 4 to facilitate Ministry down-sizing exercise. Including the Chief Minister the Ministerial strength of the SPF Government is 33. According to New Delhi Manipur Bhavan press source the CM along with his Ministerial colleagues currently at the national capital are likely to return to Imphal on June 29 or 30. 15 ministers resign on Gogoi plea

Guwahati, June 26: The countdown to the downsizing of the Tarun Gogoi ministry in Assam has begun. Fifteen ministers put in their papers today, following a request by the chief minister last night to his ministry to resign en masse before he leaves for New Delhi on Monday. He will finalise his new team in consultation with the Congress high command there.

CPI hurdle in Tripura downsize

Agartala, June 26: The ruling Left Front’s move to downsize the 18-member council of ministers in Tripura to 12 has encountered a hurdle with the CPI, a constituent of the Front, refusing to withdraw its lone representative from the government. NE states likely to approach Centre

SHILLONG, June 26 : Faced with the task of downsizing their jumbo ministries, chief ministers of the north eastern states are planning to approach the Centre for raising the size of the Cabinet, reports PTI. Nagaland for out-of-court settlement

KOHIMA, June 26 – Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has said his government was for an out-of-court settlement of the prolonged dispute over demarcation of inter-state boundary lines with Assam in a spirit of ‘give and take,’ reports PTI.
