AGARTALA, March 2: A breakthrough in the six-day-long stand-off in the budget session of Tripura Assembly could be achieved today following an all-party meeting. The meeting decided to withdraw the suspension of three Congress MLAs Ratan Lal Nath, Sudip Roy Barman and Dipak Roy while the Opposition Congress will allow the House to proceed. The Opposition party which stalled the first five days of Assembly business demanding apology from IGP, Kishore Jha, for his alleged 'abuse and assault' on the Congress members, has agreed to 'forgive and forget' the IGP issue. As per all party resolution and subsequent motion from Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Speaker Jitendra Sarkar withdrew the suspension order imposed upon three Congress MLAs for their unruly behaviour in the floor of the House. "However, in the meeting we have made it clear that there would be no compromise on the CBI probe into the murder of our sitting MLA Madhusudan Saha," said CLP leader Jawahar Saha. The ruling Left Front Government had already ordered CBI enquiry into the killing but the Opposition Congress pointed out some glaring mistakes in the letter sent to Secretary, Personnel, New Delhi by Chief Secretary Thulasidas. The Chief Minister is reported to have assured the Congress that if there were any technical mistakes that would be looked into and corrected.
