RPF clarifies on Delhi arrest

Imphal, March 19: The RPF has clarified that Kh Brojen who was arrested by police in Delhi recently is not related to the outfit. Delhi Police had claimed that Brojen is the RPF external affairs department chief. In a statement issued today, RPF said it has entrusted no activities to Brojen alias Somy alias Ibungo alias Tomba as he has taken leave on medical grounds. It refuted the report that he was a Captain of the outfit and was sent by the RPF president. Hobnobbing the Delhi police claim that a weapon was recovered from Brojen, RPF said it is India's policy. The outfit clarified that Ibotombi Sapam who was held with Brojen is not related to it and said the arrest lias violated the right to education of the student. If the security forces take every family member of the cadres as RPF members, then such acts are akin to dumping charges on innocent people, the statement further said.
