NSCNK impostor lands in RPF net

Imphal, July 14: An NSCN (K) impostor who served a demand notice on a brick kiln at Maklang was held by RPF cadres and produced before newsmen, somewhere Imphal West today. Addressing newsmen the Information and Publicity chief-in-charge of the outfit said that the impostor had served a demand notice of Rs 20,000 on a brick kiln located at Maklang in the name of the NSCN (K). The impostor who was produced before reporters is identified as Keisam Inaobi alias Itobi alias Khomdon alias Prem of Chanam Sandrok Makha. The RPF leader further said that his outfit swung into action on receiving information that some impostors were demanding money in the name of the NSCN (K) in different parts of Manipur. Inaobi was held at Wahengbam Leikai, Jiri parking today at about 2.30 pm, he said. He further said that Inaobi would be handed over to family members today itself. As punishment, Inaobi would not be allowed to venture outside his home for two months. If he violates the decree of the RPF then he should accept any punishment that is meted by the RPF and the people. Inaobi had earlier taken a sum of Rs 5000 from the brick kiln and the demand of Rs 20,000 was whittled down to Rs 7000, said the RPF leader. The impostor confessed to his crime.
