Imphal, April 15: The underground Kangleipak Communist Party, KCP, observed its 22nd birth anniversary yesterday with a simple function at its general headquarters with the party vice-president chairing the proceedings, according to a statement issued by the outfit. According to the statement, the vice president, while greeting the people of the state on the occasion, expressed regret for any fault committed against the public by the party, stressing that the people were the life of the revolutionary movement. Addressing other underground groups, he said that all such groups had the same aim of securing liberation and a classless society, and urged for sincere cooperation and coordination among them in pursuit of the movement. He also stressed the importance of accurately identifying friends and enemies. Again emphasizing on the need for support of the public to the revolutionary movement, he said every effort should be made to secure the genuine and voluntary support of the people.
