KCP celebrates raising day

IMPHAL, April 14: The 22nd Raising Day of the proscribed outfit, Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) was observed at its general headquarters today. At a solemn function presided over by the president of the outfit, KK Mangang, the party's seven-colour (rainbow) flag was hoisted and sweets were distributed to the public. Speaking at the function, KK Mangang stressed upon the need to establish an egalitarian society where the downtrodden and under-privileged sections of the society were given their due shares. He called upon the moneylenders not to demand high interest rates and the landowners not to oppress the cultivators. He said that the educational institutions should not be used as means of earning profit. He appealed to the line-bus service operators to display the list of the fare prominently and paint the wording 'Your smoking is injurious to my health' instead of 'No smoking' inside the buses. The KCP president, KK Mangang also gave stringent warning to those who defy these orders of the outfit.
