Fisheries Minister Legi dropped by Mithi

ITANAGAR, April 2 – Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mukut Mithi has dropped the Minister of State for Fisheries, Relief and Rehabilitation Lichi Legi from his Council of Ministers, reports PTI.

“The Governor, Arvind Dave, has withdraws his pleasure in respect of Legi holding the office of Minister of State with immediate effect on the advice of the Chief Minister,” an official notification said here Sunday.

The Fisheries portfolio has been allocated to Cabinet Minister Kahfa Bengia in addition to his Trade and Commerce portfolio, said a separate notification.

Now the Council of Ministers has reduced to 39.

Lichi Legi was served with a show-cause notice on March 18 by the Papum Pare District Congress Committee for his alleged involvement in anti-party activities in the wake of Panchayat Raj election to be held on April two.
